A part from the tough times republic of Somaliland came through ,the political conflicts ,democracy growth moment’s and hence government basis establishment, it was the people of Somaliland ,my society who been patient for so long ,donated their properties in every type ,including their own land for government sector’s, knowledge in every level, with the exchange to see a dream , a shining future for their children who grown up during the struggling and hard-times .
Hence , in my experience for the last 25 years of Somaliland ,I was witness the changes ,development’s ,and political fluctuation’s we pass through ,except few year’s I went out for educational purposes, “been inside a house which you didn’t get out from it ,to see the outside appearance in a full view ”,is an example when you never been to elsewhere except home(country),your sight discussion will be too short as you can describe in words what’s around you only.
Therefore ,start from government of the late president MOHAMED HAJI IBRAHIM EGAL (may Allah gave him his wide mercy ) ,with luck of international aid, less government income ,which to be frank most of it use to be spend for reconciliations’ ,among the little arguments between respectful and horrible elder’s and clan leaders from the different regions of Somaliland , I don’t want to condemn them, because if they didn’t accept the offer from the president and the society, we couldn’t reach where we are today ,which means they also had a big hand in those times, He managed to build and start the basis for strong government at time ,which came through many situations existed during his rule .
In that time, some of the people start to establish small business centers, with no business knowledge or less, by the support and encouragements of the relatives who went abroad countries during the war season, and while the country was in growth, there business also enlarged into small branches.
They are trying to develop economically to join in partnership which they don’t know how to manage it, to bring light industries which can be alternative ,with no back up plan’s and industrial based knowledge ,and disappoints them when the things not work as they planned ,or run out in short time.
Thousands of young fresh minded youth, who graduated from thousands of universities in the country and the world are running with grate business planes and goals to start small companies, while others are planning to introduce their business strategy and planes to the government and current business leader’s which most of them are those ignorant people who get the chance during the country recovery moments.
Current government of Somaliland did a lot, by re-building and decorating government sector’s ,high ways between the regions and in the capital city ,and as well some of the public places ,it change the emergency funds into developed way, but imagine a city with no industrial specific site or locations , with no second hand or used medications quarantine sector’s ,a quality control team and office which is only name, imagine and industry next to your house, telecommunication tower’s in everywhere with no limitation’s ,power generator’s with huge effects lying every street .
It’s a fact and based on survey, more 19th mineral water light industries, with no unique standard to follow, each and every one has his own standard, different PH level, and mineral compositions, beverage industries which only focus to persuade the international audit.
With all that, the question is whose responsibility is to control?
What we need these time from our Somaliland diaspora, is not only to send hundreds of dollars through the remittance, but to donate their knowledge and experience, by organizing training sectors to raise the population quality ,and to our scholar’s to analyze the way and steps to unite and bring together ,the educated free minded youth, and business leaders who are only practicing ,importing goods from outside countries which they can manufacture and benefit a lot my than they do now ,if they listen and support educated young minds .
Overall, the government should realize that these 3 million people are the largest asset these country had, to plan industrial location, power generator stations, the telecommunication towers, and activate these quality control unit.
